#PPCChat Roundup Podcast🎙

This time I do only have one podcast episode announcement to make as I was on holiday the week of the 23rd so I didn't make a recording. However the wonderful team at Karooya did a blog post of that chat that was on the topic of What's on your mind in Google Ads, which was a Q&A session with Google's Ads Liaison Ginny Marvin. So go check it out.

Now last week, when I got back, we had a chat about Programmatic Advertising. It was led by Julie Bacchini, but she was joined by not just one but two programmatic experts to help field questions - Marc Poirier AND Hélène Parker. Marc is the CEO of SoKlever - a programmatic agency and Hélène is a programmatic activation expert and host of the programmatic podcast the Programmatic Digest. They and several other experts shared their top tips on Programmatic, how to test, biggest challenges and frustrations to look out for and more.

A1. What it means to me? Top of my head: "Same thing as regular PPC but better OR different/unique targeting options because of a mix of data providers and publishers you may not get from other standard platforms. Sometimes premium placements you can't get elsewhere." #ppcchat

A3: I'd say the biggest challenge is the fragmentation of the ecosystem - it's also our biggest opportunity as an independent programmatic trading desk - complexity creates a barrier to entry that we take away for advertisers and agencies. #ppcchat

#ppcchat I agree that inventory can be fragmented. My advice is to make sure you are able to understand the tech. It can be learned and your partners should be helping educate. No education = no transparency (especially on inventory) no partnership. 👏🏾
